9 area runners earn MVL honors

BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro's Isaac Freitas-Eagan, who placed fifth overall in the Vermont State Meet, was one of nine area cross-country runners named a Marble Valley League All-Star.

Freitas-Eagan, Trevor Kipp and Colin Costa-Walsh led the Colonels to a sixth-place finish in Thetford. MVL stars Sarah Gallagher and Annie Takacs helped the BUHS girls to a seventh at states.

Four Bellows Falls runners also earned MVL honors, including Ian Wallace, Tim Salter-Roy, Nicolas Potter and Lia Clark. Clark finished a school-best fifth at the state meet.
