Saxtons River Elementary School students' art on display at Main Street Arts through March 30 in show, "Growing Works of Art." Reception tonight, 5 to 6 p.m. at MSA, 35 Main St., Saxtons River

SAXTONS RIVER — The art of Saxtons River Elementary School students will be on display at Main Street Arts from March 8 to 30 in a show entitled "Growing Works of Art."

All current students with have pieces hung in the gallery, with an opening reception for them and the public Thursday, March 8 from 5 to 6 p.m. Members of the fourth grade student council will be selling snacks to support school projects.

The exhibit provides a unique opportunity to see the developmental process of young artists spanning five grade levels and to have a community celebration of the young artists and the value of art education.

The Main Street Arts Gallery is made possible by a gift of the Windham Foundation and hosts on-going exhibits of the work of individual artists and groups.
