Brattleboro teams sweep XC meet
The BUHS boys scored 17 points and were followed by MAU (61 points), Rutland (94), Burr and Burton (110), MSJ (121), Saint Michael (145) and Long Trail (194).
Isaac Freitas-Eagan led the Colonels by winning the race in 18:34. Colin Costa-Walsh finished third in 19:15, Trevor Kipp was sixth in 19:45, Evan Koch took eighth in 20:04 and Bram Tabachnik ended up 10th in 20:15. David Pierce (20:58) and Noah Holmes (21:19) placed 15th and 20th respectively.
In the girls race, Brattleboro prevailed with 33 points. Burr and Burton (55 points), MAU (59) and Rutland (80) rounded out the team scoring.
The Putney School's Delaney Bullock was the winner in a time of 22:01. Brattleboro's top seven finishers were: Sarah Gallagher, 3rd, 22:16; Annie Takacs, 8th, 23:45; Liz Morse, 12th, 24:57; Alexandra Miskovich, 13th, 24:58; Molly Patenaude, 17th, 25:43; Emilia Dick-Fiora del Fabro, 19th, 26:07; and Kathryn Wocell, 20th, 26:07.
WILMINGTON — Logan Park and Jack McHale each tallied twice to help Twin Valley to a 7-1 victory over Windsor.
James McGovern finished with one goal and three assists. Colin McHale and Owen Grinold also found the back of the net, with helpers coming from Cooper Pell, Gunnar Nilsen, Colin McHale and Dylan Howe.
Logan Boyd and Josh Carpenter-O'Hearn made two saves apiece for the 10-1 Wildcats, who will host Springfield on Friday at 6 p.m.
