Colonels sweep 1st track meet
Maggie Lonardo (100), Dory Abdallah (300 hurdles), Sarah Gallagher (800), Asia Desmarais (shot put), Dani Wood (200) and Kai Boyd (javelin) all struck gold in one event for the Colonel girls. Molly Kelly won the high jump for the host Terriers.
The BUHS girls finished with 144 points. They were followed by Bellows Falls (112), Hartford (92), Thetford (91), Arlington (26), Windsor (24), Burr and Burton (19), Green Mountain (6) and Springfield (6).
Jasper Reed prevailed in the long jump, triple jump and 200 to lead the Brattleboro boys. Isaac Freitas-Eagan contributed with victories in the 1500 and 3000, while Colin Costa-Walsh (800), Liam Reynolds (high jump), Orion Stone (pole vault) and Isaiah Gilbeau (javelin) all won one event.
Reno Tuttle and DJ Snide did the damage for the host Terriers. Tuttle took the shot put and discus, while Snide finished first in the 100 hurdles and the 400.
The Colonels wound up with 159.3 points and were followed in the scoring by Bellows Falls (133), Thetford (69), Burr and Burton (57.3), Windsor (39), Hartford (38), Springfield (14.3) and Arlington (4).
