Entertainment at the Bondville Fair

Posted
BONDVILLE — Rockabilly Hall of Fame recording artist, Marty Wendell and His Tour Band, will be performing at this year's Bondville Fair on Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. He is a unique artist who in 2014 celebrated his 50th Anniversary of making music and received a prestigious "Lifetime Achievement Award." He has shared the stage with a long list of legendary artists including Arlo Guthrie, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash. Wherever he and his band perform they remind their audiences just how good genuine roots rockabilly music can be.

This show was the CD release event for his new "live" album, "Live At Lena's" recorded at his 2014 "50 Year Retrospective" show that he introduced at this legendary venue.

Wendell's recent studio album "A Real Good Run" features the legendary steel guitar of Robby Turner, an award winning producer, and member of the late Waylon Jennings' band.
