Lind prevails twice at Fun Run

BRATTLEBORO — Robert Lind won the one-mile and three-mile races during Wednesday's Fun Run on Upper Dummerston Road.

He ran a 5:29 mile and was followed home by Ava Ferencz (8:39), Hailey Richards (8:52), Kaylin Richards (8:54), Tammy Richards (8:56), and Julia Holden (12:22).

In the three-miler, Lind was clocked in 18:56. Rounding out the field were: Samantha Travis (26:04), Anna Copeland (27:35), race walker Raji Ballou (28:06), and two-time Australian start champion Serge Pouliot (36:22).

Nancy Johnston won the two-mile race in 15:17. Jonas Ackerman-Hovis and Patrick Ackerman-Hovis were next in 17:48 each, and Zoe Humphreys finished fourth in 21:40.

The order of finish in the 2.4-mile trail race looks like this: Josh Dillingham (16:25), Meg Paugh (18:34), Jerad Fisher (19:04), Bob Lance (22:27), Lester Humphreys (22:33), Jackie Ferencz (24:33), Geri Walton (32:07), and Chris Chapman (36:20).

The Fun Runs are directed by Gary and Chris Montgomery. The next one is scheduled for Aug. 23 at 6:30 p.m. and will start near the entrance to the Brattleboro Country Club.
