BRATTLEBORO — Write Action is sponsoring a memoir workshop with award-winning author Ann Anderson Evans on Nov. 11 and 12, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. (with a break). Location will most like be at the Marlboro Graduate Center — call 802-254-9595 to confirm.

In this workshop, she will use both meditative and literary practices to write a single scene. The group will work both in class and at home between classes to develop characters, hone the writer's ability to describe places and situations, and craft a narrative arc. The scope will be small, with the emphasis on developing a memoirist's technique and voice.

Participating writers will share their work in class, providing encouragement and suggestions in a safe, gentle environment.

Ann Anderson Evans is the author of "Daring to Date Again: A Memoir," which was the 2016 silver medal winner of the Independent Publishers Book Awards.

Sign up through email: info@writeaction.org or call 254-9595. Cost is $50, to be paid via PayPal or check or cash at time of the workshop. Call to confirm your space.
