Posted
BELLOWS FALLS — Join fellow explorers on a tangled art safari at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept 16. The focus of this design and drawing class will will be to find and draw patterns from our everyday environments. This three-hour Stone Church Center class takes place at Currier Hall, 12 Church St.

Take a short walk from Currier Hall to Main Street and learn to find and see patterns and shapes that might become interesting designs to draw. Bring a sketchbook and phone or camera and record interesting patterns in nature, architecture and store windows. Then return to Currier Hall to view and break down found patterns into simple drawing steps and record these in sketchbooks.

This safari drawing class will be taught by Sadelle Wiltshire, a Veriditas Certified Labyrinth facilitator, a textile, jewelr, mixed media artist and a Certified Zentangle teacher from Putney. She has taught a wide variety of workshops across the United States and as far as the United Kingdom. Wiltshire's art work is influenced by her Quaker faith and she enjoys creating, practicing and teaching with a view towards mindfulness and contemplation. She can be found online at tanglevermont.com and thetangledlabyrinth.com.

Tuition for this half-day workshop is $45. For information or to register, visit Village Square Booksellers on the Square in Bellows Falls, call 802-460-0110, or go to stonechurcharts.org.
