Alfred University names local students to Dean's List

ALFRED, N.Y. — Isaiah W. Palmeri, a resident of Putney, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester at Alfred University. He is a senior in the School of Art and Design. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to qualify for Dean's List. Palmeri is an Art and Design major at AU. He is a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School.

Emily R. Wright, a resident of Brattleboro, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester at Alfred University. She is a senior in the School of Art and Design. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to qualify for Dean's List. Wright is an Art and Design major at AU. A graduate of Home School Clearing House, Wright is the daughter of Matthew and Michelle Wright of Brattleboro.



Local students named to the Dean's List at the University of New Haven

WEST HAVEN, CONN. — The following students were named to the Dean's List at the University of New Haven for the Fall 2016 semester: Madison M. Derosia, of Brattleboro, Bachelor of Science, Undeclared — Lee College, Lee College of CJ & Forensics; and James A. Babcock, of Spofford, N.H., Bachelor of Science, Fire Protection Engineering, Lee College of CJ & Forensics.



Local students named to Hamilton College Dean's List

CLINTON, N.Y. — The following local students have been named to the Dean's List at Hamilton College for the 2016 fall semester: Genevieve M. Darling, daughter of Alan Darling and Lucie Morissette of South Newfane. Darling, a junior majoring in psychology, is a graduate of Leland & Gray Union High School; Erik W. Johansson, son of Joan Carey and Philip Johansson of Marlboro. Johansson, a sophomore, is a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School; and Emily R. Randrup, daughter of Rennie and David Washburn of West Chesterfield, N.H.. Randrup, a senior majoring in psychology, is a graduate of Northfield Mount Hermon School.



Two LGUHS students recognized by Vermont Agency of Education

BARRE — The Vermont Agency of Education, through its Vermont Presidential Scholars Program, recognized two Leland & Gray Union High School seniors as General Presidential Scholars — Caroline Tietz and Caleb Thibault.

The award is meant to recognize high school seniors who show outstanding scholarship, leadership and service to their communities.



Townshend woman named to UVM Dean's List

BURLINGTON — Emily Louise Stockwell, a resident of Townshend, was named to the Dean's List for the fall of 2016 fall semester at University of Vermont. She is a sophomore in the school of Education and Social Services, Studying Human Development and minoring in Behavioral Change and Health Studies. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to qualify for Dean's List. Stockwell is a graduate of Leland and Gray High School.
