Sunny Lowdown to be at Whetstone

BRATTLEBORO — Singer/guitarist Sunny Lowdown is bringing his group The Ice Cream Men to the Whetstone Station Restaurant, 36 Bridge St., on Thursday, at 8:30 p.m. Lowdown has played with many well known blues musicians, including John Lee Hooker, R.L. Burnside, Pinetop Perkins and Otis Rush. He also backed up singer Willy DeVille for many years. His latest CD, "Down Loaded" has received excellent reviews. Blues Blast Magazine says: "Sunny plays great guitar." Elmore Magazine wrote, "Drive, spirit, spookiness — all the elements are there." The Ice Cream Men are Ben Carr aka Sunny Tubs, Louk Houk aka Sunny Bottom, and Paul Nadeau aka Sunny Keys.
