Village Harmony teen world music ensemble in summer concert

BRATTLEBORO — Village Harmony teen world music ensemble presents its second series of summer concerts in New England, led by a dynamic trio of experienced VH leaders: Avery Book, Gideon Crevoshay, and Heidi Wilson. The ensemble will be at Centre Congregational Church, 193 Main St. on Friday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m. Suggested admission at the door is $10; $5 for students.

The concert program includes traditional songs and round dances from the Republic of Georgia, American shape-note classics both new and old, rousing improvised pieces, traditional songs from the islands of Corsica and Sardinia, and English language lullabies, work songs, and songs of struggle and community. The singers are drawn from throughout New England and the Midwest.
